  • Knowledge of multiple types of commercial roofing and waterproofing systems;
  • Be able to work outdoors on construction sites performing observation visits, existing condition surveys and destructive and non-destructive tests in accordance with industry standards;
  • Be able to read and understand architectural drawings and related specification sections;
  • Be able to communicate and work both independently and within a team environment;
  • Have excellent communication and writing skills;
  • Be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat Pro;
  • Understand roofing and waterproofing related specifications and submittals for onsite observations:

  • Roof Consultants Institute “RCI”, RRO, RWC, RRC certifications;
  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree;
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Revit; and
  • Osha 10 hr. training
  • Infra-Red Scan Certifications
  • ELD Testing experience

Will work with the consultants to develop architectural details for exterior building enclosure systems using AutoCad and Revit. A successful candidate must have strong knowledge of AutoCad and be familiar with Revit.

Successful candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Depth of knowledge of aluminum-and-glass curtain wall systems; window systems; masonry; stone; precast concrete; or unitized/panelized façade systems featuring barrier wall, rain screen or pressure equalized performance capabilities; and have understanding in the use and application of sealants, flashings, thermal insulation, and air/water/vapor barrier materials within the systems listed above;
  • Be able to participate in local market development and cultivate new and existing client contacts within the Boston, New England and Northeastern region of the United States;
  • Be willing to collaborate with other Regional offices and Corporate office located in Dallas, Texas;
  • Be able to read and understand architectural and structural drawings, wind tunnel test reports and technical specifications;

Curtain Wall Design and Consulting Inc. seeks a Project Coordinator.

Provide support to the project manager for preparation and coordination of shop and fabrication drawings of structures, systems or parts from architectural/structural contract drawings, sketches or marked-up prints. Draw fit familiar patterns and present few technical problems. Supervisor provides detailed instructions on new assignments, gives guidance when questions arise and reviews completed work for accuracy. From marked-up prints, revises the original drawings as directed by a supervisor in accordance with CDC standards. From sketches, draws floor plans, elevations, sections and details, determining size, spacing, and arrangement of wall system components according to scale. Also prepares routine drawings used for fabrication, assembly, installation of wall system components as directed. Interprets and utilizes architectural drawings in the production of shop drawings.

Requires 24 months of related architecture or civil experience.

Curtain Wall Design and Consulting Inc. seeks a Senior Structural Engineer.

Provide analysis and design engineering services for exterior and interior wall cladding systems including unitized and stick glazed curtain wall, window wall, and storefront; hand set and panelized natural stone, cast stone, and brick veneer; architectural precast concrete panels; metal panels; skylights, terra cotta and light gauge metal studs. Plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications and calculations, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes and engineering practices. Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills and experience. Use computer-assisted engineering design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents. Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters. Provide technical guidance to Designers/Drafters in the preparation of design models and drawings. Provide recommendations based on local and international building codes fulfilling the fabrication, installation, performance and economic requirements of the client. Review shop drawings for compliance to applicable codes and engineering practices. Formulate testing procedures to determine properties of materials pertaining to the building envelope industry. Apply a variety of methods to test the validity of testing data. Perform services during construction including responding to RFI's, reviewing submittals and performing field observations.

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering plus 12 months of related structural engineering experience and a Professional Engineering License.
